In a desolate, windswept wasteland, a lone fast-food joint stands as the last bastion of hope. The Last Fry Stand. Once a bustling hub of neon-lit indulgence, it's now a deserted outpost, a relic of a bygone era.

You, a lone survivor, find yourself trapped within its confines. A mysterious corporation, intent on maintaining its iron grip, has unleashed a swarm of robotic crows to eliminate any potential threats. Armed with nothing but a trusty pistol, you must navigate the treacherous terrain, outsmart the relentless avian drones, and activate the dormant antenna on the roof.

Your mission: Send a desperate SOS, a beacon of hope for a long-awaited rescue. As you fight for survival, you'll uncover the dark secrets behind the desolate landscape and the corporation's sinister motives.

Good concept but there are to many level design problems. A lot of surfaces having no collisions which results in that the birds can glitch in the building. The mousepointer in the middle (raycast) is to small to get trigger/catch tiny objects. Would also be nice to be able to sneak that the birds losing track of you, landing, walking around and trying to find you by foot. Otherwise its just like: The player having 1min in the beginning after the hunt start. Its just run around find some object and repeat until the end. There is a lot of potential in it in storytelling

hi, thank  you for the feedback, im agree about birds losing track, its a good idea. About the collision problem, is made on purpose, not all but some of the glasses of the main building are without collision to let some birds in, othewise a player could decide to stay inside forever, making the game also laggy with lots of birs outside. the only thing is that i should put a broken windows where there is no collision, but you know, if i had more time maybe...

this good and interesting game

good game bro and good concept. Some of the audio controls didn’t work in the setting so I had to manually lower it in my cpu settings. The gunplay could use some tweeks as well along with the sound FX. Other than that, I enjoyed playing this game and the birds for some reason made me feel distressed lmfao.

Did a video of it also-

Neon Wasteland – A Deserted Fast-Food Joint Is My Only Hope! || Itch.io

Keep up the good work and let’s go PART 2!

Why did you decide to rename this to Neon Wasteland?

it's a long story , the original name was the last fry stand , but when i got back my wenudu account here i reuploaded with another name, but maybe the original name was better, what do you think?

Pros:
- Magnificent, desolate atmosphere.
- Stellar performance, even on maximum settings.
- Intuitive controls.
- Detailed and immersive environment.
- Realistic animations.

Cons:
- Can't appreciate any of that, because of the never-ending swarm of birds turning a suspense game into a twitch reflex shooter.

Seriously, tone down the damn birds - I can shoot birds, or I can play the game, but I can't seem to accomplish both (especially with how twitchy and hard to hit they are if they get on top of me).

Thank you for the detailed feedback! Glad to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere, performance, and immersion. The birds were meant to add tension, but I understand they might feel overwhelming. I’ll take this into account for future updates to make sure they enhance the experience without becoming frustrating. Appreciate your input!

Thank you for handling what was probably an unnecessarily harsh critique, so gracefully.  ^.^'  With the exception of the birds breaking up the tension, you have a masterpiece on your hands - just needs some fine-tuning.  A melee option might be just the ticket - even thwacking them with the flashlight would feel satisfying.

(+1)

A melee option actually sounds like a great idea—smacking those birds with a flashlight might be oddly satisfying! 😆 Appreciate the feedback, and thanks for the kind words!

Birds are ok. Gives tension and a little difficult to the game. In my case though someone shot me because i kill them. After a time, i check that they explode with a sound similar to a shot XD

The existence of the birds is great.  The sheer number of them is what I was complaining about.  (I got spooked by the birds popping, too - took me forever to figure out what was happening, but I thought that was a fantastic touch.)  XD

This is the ultimate /r/birdsarentreal simulator.

Haha, that's a good one! Maybe I missed a marketing opportunity there.

It's never too late! Link to it now if the rules allow it...

hey i've recieved a note on reddit:

there's a different developer (crispystars) selling the same games rebranded as if they're their own. could you check?

(+3)

Good catch! Crispystars is another account I own. I ran into some problems with my Wenudu account a while back (it got corrupted/broken/something like that), so I set up Crispystars as a backup. Both accounts are mine, so there's no issue with the games.

ok nice as long as it's not a thief :p
